CrossFit Whanganui is a fun and friendly environment where everyone works hard to achieve their own goals. We love what we do, and what we do is help you get fitter, stronger and healthier with a bit of hard work and a whole lot of fun.

What is CrossFit? Come in for a free session and experience this for yourself. Class is one hour long, and our crew is awesome fun.
We are a Strength and Conditioning gym targeting group classes and using the CrossFit training method, constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. We want a fitness that enables us to help buddies move their fridges, play tag with our kids or join a sports team without fear of being ‘unfit’.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals, mums wanting to get fit post birth, young men training for rugby and many others just wanting to live a full healthy life.
What we do and how we train is not new. Olympic weightlifting has been used to develop power and speed in athletes for generations. Gymnasts have been revered as super athletes by many fitness experts and their training methods have been used by elite UFC fighters such as George St Pierre. What makes CrossFit different is our willingness to draw on the best training methodologies and bring them to a fun and inclusive group environment.
Increased fitness is our goal but the part that makes the pursuit of this so much fun, is our community. CrossFit Whanganui has an awesome group of people that make up a truly unique and supportive community, where every workout finishes with a high five and a smile (or grimace depending on the workout).
